Warmer weather means barbecue season, and if you’re looking to splurge on a luxury grill and smoker this spring and summer, Traeger has you covered with its redesigned Timberline Grills, a line of high-tech pellet smokers that promises to cook your meats to perfection, at a steep price point.

Pricing starts at $3,499 (!!!), but once you’ve gotten past the sticker shock, Traeger’s marquee product offers a suite of premium features. Among them is a “smart combustion system” made up of sensors that detects and adjusts cooking temperature so your food is evenly smoked throughout. And like other top-of-the-line Traeger models, the Timberline is Wifi-enabled. Hook it up to Traeger’s app, and you can leave your grill without worrying about flare-ups or your food overcooking.

Meanwhile it houses a new heat delivery system that makes its grates even hotter for searing steaks and ribs. Plus, if you’re looking to seriously smoke your meats, Traeger has a new Super Smoke Mode that actives its fire pot for maximum smoking capabilities.

Most high-end grills we’ve seen focus on cooking and less on cleanup. Not so with the new Timerbline’s grease and keg system, which vacuums ash, debris, grime into one vacuum, so you can spend less time cleaning and more grilling. Timerbline’s regular model has an 880 square feet cooking area, while the Timberline XL ($3,799) houses a massive 1320 square feet grilling space. Orders are set to ship later this spring within the U.S. and Canada.

Our Men’s Health editors have praised Traeger’s innovative grills. We found that its Ironwood 650 cooked meats more precisely and accurately than Weber grills. And while we haven’t tested the new Timberline just yet, its stacked features promises to change how we grill yet again.
